GRI #692

Thought to be a kind of segmented worm of the phylum Annelida, based in part on molecular fossils associated with it (Moczydłowska et al., 2014). It is considered to be part of a group of tube-dwelling worms classified in the family Siboglinidae. Sabellidites fossils have been found in Ediacaran sediments of Norway, and Cambrian sediments of Norway, Belarus, Russia, China, Canada and United States (Paleobiology Database, n.d.).
